- Cardstock or cardboard
- Self-Adhesive Heart Gems or other Valentine’s Day related mini stickers
How to Make DIY Heart Glasses for Valentine’s Day?
Form a toilet paper roll in a heart shape. Pinch the toilet roll to get the pointy part of the heart, then make an inverted crease on the opposite side for creating the heart’s arch. Create the lenses by cutting two rings from this roll (about 1 cm wide).
Measure your child’s face and according to that cut another toilet paper roll, cardstock, or piece of cardboard to make the temples and the bridge of the glasses.
You can also download our free template of glass temples in 3 different sizes.
Your kids can start decorating the different parts of Valentine’s glasses.
1. Use paint to add colors with a paintbrush
2. Markers to draw on them
3. Dip your little one’s fingers in paint and print heart shapes on the frame
4. Stick different stickers to make your cardboard glasses look lovingly fancy
Once the pieces dried carefully, glue them together.
When attaching the glasses’ bridge, fold both ends of the cardboard strip, that’s where you will put the glue.
It’s important to remember that while glue guns are great for adults, children should be reaching for the school glue instead.
In the end, it’s time to have some fun wearing those lovely DIY Valentine’s Glasses! Kids can wear fancy dresses with glasses on, play a fashion show, or simply do a photoshoot. 🙂
